El Qulali area has witnessed violent clashes between microbus drivers heading to Sharabia and El Qulali drivers, at the beginning of Shubra tunnel, it started as some thugs from El Qulali attacked the drivers coming from Sharabia to demand large amounts of money as "passing fee", taking advantage of the total absence of police.

Both sides fought fiercely using knives and clubs and the incident resulted in dozens of casualties from both sides, especially after the people of El Qulali tried to defend the drivers stop.

شهدت منطقة القللى اشتباكات عنيفة بين سائقى الميكروباص المتجهين إلى الشرابية وسائقى القللى نفسها، وذلك بنفق أول شبرا، إثر قيام بعض البلطجية من منطقة القللى بالتهجم على سائقى موقف منطقة الشرابية لمطالبتهم بمبالغ مالية كبيرة كـ"إتاوة"، مستغلين الغياب التام لرجال الشرطة.

دارت معركة عنيفة استخدم فيها الجانبان الأسلحة البيضاء والشوم وأسفر الحادث عن وقوع عشرات المصابين من الطرفين خاصة بعدما قام أهالى المنطقة بالدفاع عن سائقى الموقف.
